Getting to Jacksonville
By Air
Jacksonville is served by most major US airlines, including Southwest, with direct connections to several US cities. Note that there is not an airport shuttle provided by the hotel. Guests use Uber or Lyft to get between the airport and downtown hotels. Prices range from $15-$25 depending on time of day. The airport is approximately 15 miles from the hotel and takes 15-30 min of driving time, depending on time of day.
By Bus or Train
Jacksonville is served by Amtrak and Greyhound, as well as regional bus lines. Transportation between the Amtrak/Greyhound Stations and the Hampton Inn is the responsibility of attendees. Uber/Lyft are the best options.
By Car
Jacksonville is conveniently located at the intersection of I-10 and I-95, and parking at the conference hotel is free for those who choose to drive themselves.
Getting around Jacksonville
The Hampton Inn is located 1/4 mile from the riverfront which features a pedestrian pathway on both sides of the river and over the bridge. Those who wish to avoid walking can take the People Mover from the station located directly behind the hotel to points of interest across the river. Shuttle service between the hotel and Jacksonville University for conference-related events is included in the conference registration fee. There are several restaurants and bars within easy walking distance from the hotel, and the shops and restaurants in San Marco Square are approximately 1 mile away (an easy walk or Uber/Lyft ride).
